Blast Scores

Diamond In The Rough

Memphis,Tenn-It’s the talented roster of players and coaches that make the Memphis Blast successful on the field. It’s also the many talented and dedicated volunteers that make the Blast successful off the field. One such volunteer is Angela Clayton.

Angela has been with the Blast for over 2 years as what she described as a volunteer coordinator manager. Her role during home games is in the concessions, press box, front gate just to name a few,she has also worked on other projects that a fan may not notice, but Blast player and personnel do. She  has done an amazing job making sure that on gameday things have run smoothly and consistently she take a tremendous amount of pressure off our organization by making sure the concession stand is stock  and running smoothly, and that our press box staff is ready  to announce the Game and she does so much more !!!!So we take our hats off to you Mrs.Clayton for the wonderful job that you do.

The Blast are Memphis&Shelby County’s pro development hometown football team, but like a number of the many Blast volunteers, Angela travels a distance to be part of her favorite team. Angela, with her husband Calvin and three kids, Kel, Lex and Joy, call West Memphis,Arkansas home. When asked how her husband feels about the trip she has to make to Memphis/Cordova , Angela said Calvin is very supportive. He is a big Blast  fan and enjoys coming to the games.

Angela is another fine example of the dedication and spirit of volunteering that has made Your Hometown Football team, the Memphis Blast, such a unique entity in minor league football.
