TALE OF TWO HALVES

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Blast dropped its second straight game of the season with a 37-26 loss to the Oklahoma Thunder Saturday afternoon at Greenhill Stadium. The Blast fell behind, by 31 points, early in the first half. The opening minutes of the game belonged to the Thunder. The Thunder dominated in all phases of the game scoring offensively and defensively. GDFL star Prentiss Elliot even returned an early punt for a TD. The half-time indication was clear, the Oklahoma Thunder dominated the Memphis Blast for two-quarters.

The mark of good teams can be viewed from several perspectives during a football game. Saturday night two perspectives rose to light, will the winners win or will the quitters quit. After rolling in the first half, the Thunder seem poised to rout the Blast. This obvious conclusion would not be so.(more)
