Blast announce tryouts!!!!


 (September 21, 2014) –The Memphis Blast announced that the club’s (GDFL) Development League franchise, will hold open tryouts for the 2015 season. Ever wanted to be a part of a pro developmental football team with an emphasis on a Next Level play,safe, competitive environment?

Then the Memphis Blast might be the team for you. We have been around for a while and have been making a name for ourselves in the minor league arena. In fact, we were named one of the top minor professional  football organizations by the Nations only nationally recognized National Developmental Football League .The Gridiron Developmental Football League for 5 years running !

“Open tryouts have always been an incredible opportunity for players to showcase their abilities to our staff,” said Blast Director of Minor League Operations Tracy Scott. “The chance to play in the Gridiron Developmental Football League  and be apart of a very organized and professional organization the Memphis Blast is an opportunity,our program will bring out high-level talent, and we are excited to begin the process of building the Memphis Blast roster for the upcoming season.”

Men 18 years and older are eligible to participate with the opportunity to move on to College and/or paid Arena/NFL teams.

The Memphis Blast next tryout for 2015 season will be held Saturday, November  8th at East High School, 3206 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38111.

Tryouts are open from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Registration fee is $50.00 per person; non-refundable. Every player must go through the tryout to make the team.

Equipment needed: workout gear, tennis shoes or running shoes, cleats.

Tryouts will be conducted in an NFL style combine. The results will be recorded for future use.Dance team tryouts will be held February 11.

NOTE: All applicants must be eligible to play in the GDFL and complete the required paperwork.

Memphis Blast Open Player Tryouts

Players who participate in the open tryouts will be observed and evaluated by members of the Memphis Blast and GDFL operations staffs.
